Bayo at 25: Made in the Philippines
Bayo commemorated its 25th anniversary on the 25th of September 2017 at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Manila Peninsula. BAYO is a homegrown brand that started as a small made-to-order atelier in Makati but now grown to a hundred stores nationwide. As it welcomes its 25th year in the business, BAYO created a campaign entitled "Made in the Philippines" that spotlights 25 stylish Pinays who have excelled in their chosen field and have contributed to our society by producing products that are proudly Filipino made.
With their stories and advocacies they have not only made the nation proud, but also helped improve the lives of fellow Filipinos. One of the proclaimed stylish Pinays of Bayo is our president, Olivia Limpe-Aw, a 5th generation master blender and the first woman to lead the company, Destileria Limtuaco Co., Inc. She turned a new leaf for the company and created a line of craft spirits and reinvented brands by introducing artisanal craft sprits made from the best Philippine produce such as Paradise Mango Rum Liqueur (Philippine Mango), Amadeo Coffee Liqueur (4 types Philippine Coffee), Manille Liqueur de Calamansi (Philippine Lime) and Dalandan (Philippine Orange), Very Old Captain Artisan Crafted Dark Rum (Blackstrap Molasses), Vigan Basi Philippine Sugarcane Wine, Dragon Fire Dragon Fruit Wine, San Juan Premium and Premium Aged Lambanog (Coconut Sap), Intramuros Cacao Liqueur and Julius James 100% Philippine Corn Whisky - the first wholly domestically produced whisky in the country. Aside from selling products that are proudly made in the Philippines, she makes sure that people who are buying her liquor know the story of the product and the people who produce it.
