Madrid Fusion Manila 2015
On April 2015, as part of the "Visit the Philippines 2015" festivities, the eyes of the entire world will focus on Manila with the staging of Madrid Fusion Manila. This global event is envisioned to showcase the encounter between Spanish and Filipino chefs to celebrate over 300 years of shared history. Madrid Fusion, one of the largest culinary events in the world, was recently held at the SMX convention center in Pasay City through the effort of the Department of Touris, (DOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board.
This gastronomical gathering served as an opportunity for Destileria Limtuaco to showcase the newest addition to their Philippine Craft Spirits line - San Juan Lambanog, one of the country's signature spitits made from coconut sap, now making its way worldwide and Intramuros Cacao de Liqueur, featured on Rappler's "7 PH Product to Rave About at Madrid Fusion", this brandy based liqueur is made from pure fermented Cacao beans from Davao.
Madrid Fusion Manila is said to be the grandest affair in the Philippine gastronomic scene. This was definitely a milestone for Philippine cuisine to be recognized across the globe and aid in the promotion of our tourism and economy.
